The Mayor and the City Council of the City of Dawsonville will convene the regularly scheduled meeting of the City Council starting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 8, 2007 at City Hall located at 415 Highway 53 East, Dawsonville, Georgia.  Public hearings will be heard by the Mayor and Council during the regularly scheduled meeting for the following purposes:

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

Annexations and re-zonings:

 

To hear Annexation Petition ANX06-054:  Wayne Grogan has made a request to annex14.007 acres of TMP092B-006.  The subject property is located at 651 Hwy. 9 North and 685 Hwy. 9 North.  The property is currently zoned RA and will be AP upon annexation.  (Second reading).

 

To hear Annexation Petition ANX06-055:  Jason Adam Power has made a request to annex 2.80 acres of TMP069-055.001.  The property is located 1118 Elliott Family Parkway.  The property is currently zoned RA and will be AP upon annexation.  (Second reading).

 

To hear Annexation Petition ANX06-056:  Jyotibala P. Patel has made a request to annex 2.127 acres of TMP083-007.  The property is located at 706 Hwy. 53 West.  The property is currently zoned RA and will be AP upon annexation. (Second reading).

 

To hear Annexation Petition ANX06-057:  Clay Summerour and Renae Summerour have made a request to annex 1.0 acres of TMP 082-015.  The property is located at 373 Howser Mill Road.  The property is currently zoned R-1 and will be R-1 upon annexation.  (Second reading).

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Planning Commission and the Mayor and City Council of the City of Dawsonville will convene the regularly scheduled meeting of the Dawsonville Planning Commission starting at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 22, 2007 at City Hall located at 415 Highway 53 East, Dawsonville, Georgia. Public hearings will be heard for the following purposes:

PUBLIC HEARINGS:

 

ZA-11-06-1423: Gold Creek SL, LLC has requested a Zoning Map Amendment for TMP 90-26 consisting of 61+/- acres, also known as One Gold Creek Drive. The applicant is requesting to amend the master plan.

 

ZA-12-06-1438: RD Sharma Premium Investments has requested a Zoning Map Amendment for TMP91-10 consisting of 54.84 acres, located at the corner of Hwy. 136 and 2160 Hwy. 9 North.  Current use/zoning is CG/AG.  Requested zoning is PUD (Planned Unit Development District).   Applicant has also filed a petition to annex into the confines of the City of Dawsonville. (ANX-06-058)

 

CA-12-2006-01: Cheryl Hammond and Angie Smith have applied for a Certificate of Appropriateness for 23 Hwy. 9 North. The applicants submitted plans for exterior alterations to the building.

 

 

REPORTS

NOTICE OF MANDATORY WATER RESTRICTIONS:

 

Effective June 21, 2006 for customers of the City of Dawsonville Water & Sewer Authority and Etowah Water & Sewer Authority :

  • ODD numbered addresses may water only on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays

  • EVEN numbered addresses may water only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays

  • HOURLY Limits - 5:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. only

  • NO watering on Friday

This conforms to mandatory restrictions set by GA EPD with the restricted hours set by EWSA.
